I have more than 20 years of professional experience in project, portfolio and process management with hands-on experience in product/service innovation for the consultancy-engineering company Royal HaskoningDHV. Furthermore I have experience in launching consultancy companies in Europe (Belgium, France) and Africa (Burkina Faso). Using this expertise he was chairman of the ‘knowledge Valorisation Board’ at the Clean Tech Delta Group in Rotterdam.

I have published several articles on the implementation of new management processes and business models in existing industries, such as the Chemical Leasing business model,  Integrated Management of ICT Materials, sustainable material management process etc. Futhermore I have published several articles on solving geohydrological and geophysical challenges.

His professional experience is combined with a Masters’ degree in Geology (KULeuven, 1984), a degree as mining engineer (TUDelft-ITC, 1988) and a Bachelor degree in Management Development (IC&D Eindhoven). Mr Vander Velpen has a degree of lead auditor ISO14000 (Loyds, London (UK)) and a certificate in ‘Project Finance’ (Amsterdam Institute of Finance, Amsterdam (The Netherlands)).
