About

My work has focused on the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, land and natural resources; and their nexus with natural resource governance, post-conflict reconstruction, sustainable development and climate change. This has encompassed an array of evidence-based technical, management and policy-related roles and activities at a range of scales; from local site/community levels through local government and ecosystems levels to bioregional and State levels. Work as a vegetation ecologist for government agencies in Australia provided a foundation for contributions internationally; initially on Cambodia's post-war reconstruction and development as IUCN's liaison officer in the 1990s.
