About
Dr. Hassan K. Abdulrahim is an associate research scientist at Water Research Center (WRC), Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). He got his Ph.D. from Cairo University, Egypt, in Mechanical Engineering in 2006. Before joining KISR, he worked as a senior scientist at Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI). He also worked at the Mechanical Engineering Department, College of Engineering and Petroleum, Kuwait University, Kuwait, from 1994 to 2013. He is an expert in desalination and power generation process development and optimization, including thermal and membrane. He is an expert in modeling, simulation, and optimization of thermal, membrane, hybrid, and power generation processes and developing emerging desalination processes and poly generation systems. Recently, he granted a US patent on a new integrated device for desalination and air conditioning, in addition to two other patents previously.
