Dr. Pradip Kalbar, Assistant Professor, IIT Bombay
About
Pradip Kalbar was awarded PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Mumbai. Presently, he works as Assistant Professor at the Centre for Urban Science and Engineering (CUSE) at IITB. Prior to joining IITB as faculty, Pradip worked for two-years as postdoctoral researcher at the Division for Quantitative Sustainability Assessment, Dept. of Management Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The postdoctoral fellowship was awarded under HC Ørsted Postdoc Fellowship program Co-funded by Marie Curie Actions Program of EU.He has received prestigious awards such as “Excellence in Ph.D. thesis Award 2014” from IIT Bombay,
Young Faculty Award 2016, IIT Bombay, “PRISMA - Sustainability Assessment and Policy Award -2020”.
Pradip has authored three book chapters and published several scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He also has wide industrial and consulting experience in the area of the water sector, urban waste management and environmental sustainability. He is the Member of the Technical Advisory Committee for Water Supply of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM).
