Elisa Longo, Civil and Infrastructure Engineer - Looking for opportunities

I am an Irish based Civil Engineer, mainly specialized in Hydrology and River Basin Management. 

I have recently completed four months of work experience for Studio Colonna Ltd, a small engineering company in the province of Messina, in Italy.
I left that job in early September because I decided to pursue a better career.  I ended up moving to Ireland to perfect the language and find a bigger engineering company in which to grow professionally

I graduated in “Civil Engineering, infrastructure and territory defense” at Messina University in 2015 with First Class Honors. During the course of my studies, many subjects were based on highway and junction projects, pavement analysis and design, feasibility and highway route studies. 

In addition, my academic path has included many hydraulic subjects such as “Hydrology and hydraulic works”, “River basin management” and “Aqueducts and drainage design”. I have been studying for more than two years on flood risk management in urban contests and evaluation of the associated damage. In fact, I have produced many scientific articles and conference papers on this theme.

Currently, I am very much interested in pursuing a career in infrastructural civil engineering, and my recent work experience has strengthened my desire to work in this area.

What I  like most about this job is the possibility to create something that  was previously just an idea in my mind. I also appreciate the prospect of projecting something useful in a step by step approach for society or clients in general.
