About

I am a chemical engineer with over 13 years of multidisciplinary and multi-project experience in process engineering, project/technology economic viability assessments, environmental and policy analysis. Over these years, I worked on different projects and gained deep expertise in Oil & Gas Processes, Petrochemicals, Mineral Processing and Power generation & Utilities.

Recently, I have led multidisciplinary teams who conducted market analysis, technical, economic viability and environmental assessment, and jurisdictional competitiveness of 9 petrochemical products and over 30 emerging oil sands technologies.

During my MSc., PhD and Postdoctoral research, I developed and assessed technologies that could play important roles in achieving a clean and sustainable energy future. These technologies include 1) a system that generates hydrogen, steam or electricity without CO2 emissions (via natural gas decarbonization) for applications in oil sands, power plants and manufacturing sectors, and 2) a closed-loop process for producing magnesium hydroxide from magnesium silicate rocks for accelerating the rate of CO2 sequestration in mineral rocks, a process called mineral carbonation.

Technical writing and speaking are my way of life. I've co-authored 40 scientific papers and industry papers and spoken at over 50 conferences and meetings. Also, I review for top energy and environmental journals and has served as an invited subject matter expert in many international assignments.
