About

In over 20 years of intense work, I gained experience in hydrogeological, hydrogeochemical investigations and modelling of fractured volcanic aquifers, thermal systems, contaminated sites, coastal aquifers (MODFLOW and FEFLOW, "alleviated" by PEST - John Doherty... Thank-you!!!).
I'm very interested in the fascinating combination of field investigations, data mining, geostatistics, modelling and decision-support.

In 2021 I founded SYMPLE, a School of Hydrogeological Modelling which is growing year after year.

My current activities include:
- Teaching and Tutoring @SYMPLE
- Modelling of flow and transport in contaminated sites;
- Modelling for groundwater resources management in islands;
- Model calibration and uncertainty analysis;
- Groundwater modelling Decision Support;
- Heat transport modelling for geothermal systems;
- Open pits and mines dewatering modelling;
- Sustainable yield definition (under uncertainty constraints);
- (Meaningful) Pumping test execution and analysis;
- Field Hydrogeology;
- Data mining and advanced data processing;
- Coming up with creative approaches and solutions;
- ... and many other amazing topics!!

My Consultancy Concept...
I firmly believe in knowledge sharing, through whatever mean: lessons, webinars, tutoring, conferences and... consultancy as well!! Being both a teacher and a consultant, I tend to apply always the same approach, trying to "reveal" as much as I can. Solutions can only arise from the continuous exchange of ideas and, in my experience, this is the most attractive way I've found to train myself!!
