Harry Beyer, Principal Water Engineer

Harry Beyer, Principal Water Engineer

About

I've been doing water engineering since I was six years old. Back then it was dams in the local creek and mucking out the roadside (un)sanitary drains.

Now I have in excess of 30 years professional experience in aspects of civil/water engineering that include planning, project management and operations. Infrastructure experience includes borehole pumps and pump stations, solar powered pumping, reservoirs, seawater reverse osmosis and the treatment of brackish water. Significant assignments included leadership of a multinational team for a water supply, sewerage and drainage master planning study to cater for a forecast population of 12 million in Bangalore (India - 2002), as well as project management, review and advisory roles for the owners of large scale seawater and brackish water desalination facilities in Queensland (Australia).

Country experience includes Indonesia, China/Tibet, India, Sri Lanka and Australia. Some of these roles were technical/training while others were in leadership positions.

In addition to a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) Degree (Honours), I have formal qualifications and experience in technical training. This provides a foundation for excellent stakeholder engagement, team management and capacity building.

Connect to contact me for more details of responsibilities and achievements in specific roles. Also feel free to reach out to me if I may be able to support your project.
