I am a Water Resources Management professional with over 7 year’s working experience and advanced technical skills in the application of GIS and remote sensing. I am mainly interested in research work and using my skills in advancing the society in the areas of water and energy, agriculture and food, environmental conservation and sustainable exploitation of resources. Currently I am a private consulting Engineer and Hydrologist offering private consultancy in the field of hydro-met, climate and hydrologic studies and integrated GIS information systems design and development, to organizations such as the Faculty of Geo-Information Sciences and Earth Observation - ITC - University of Twente, Netherlands, Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) and other private entities. Previously, I worked for ITC through the Netherlands Water Partnership’s (NWP’s) Young Expert Programme (YEP) Hydroinformatics technical assistance for the Integrated Water Resources Action Plan (IWRAP) in the Naivasha Basin. I have been contracted by the Servir East Africa project at RCMRD to develop the CREST Model for flood monitoring and forecasting. I have worked on the “Reconstruction of the streamflow into Lake Naivasha using the CREST distributed model and satellite observed rainfall and evapotranspiration data
