Ishin Kaya, Principal Engineer @ MixAnox Systems

About

Ishin is a multi-faceted engineer with over two decades of experience in water pollution control, process automation, and manufacturing environments. He has visited over 300 factories and facilities as a business and process analyst, technical sales specialist, design engineer, consultant, and troubleshooter. While doing this, he has cultivated many long-term relationships.

Licensed with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO, Canada), Ishin has worked as a process and project engineer solving challenging problems on numerous projects. His colleagues have commented on his skills and dedication to his work and his reputation for following through.

In addition to his engineering, Ishin has computer skills and a deep interest in automation and cutting-edge technologies.

These attributes recently led to a major development in his career.

While working on engineering projects, Ishin saw an opportunity to help wastewater treatment plants respond to rising energy costs and growing public concern over carbon footprint. Over the course of four years, he invented and patented an improved mixing and mass transfer technology that improves a plant’s energy efficiency without changing its infrastructure.

The development has been a success. Two pilots in North Middlesex, Ontario, (Canada) have been completed and he has implemented the first commercial installation in Birch River, Manitoba, Canada. Now Ishin is satisfied to let another company take it from there.

Not only is he ready for the next thing, he’s added proven entrepreneurial skills to his list.
