After acting for 16 years as Professor of Ocean Dynamics in the University of Rio Grande, RS, Brazil, 3 years as Manager for Business Development at Woods Hole Group do Brasil, and 3 years as a Research Scientist at SINTEF Institute of Brazil, I am now CEO at Atlantis Institute, a private, independent, non-profit organization devoted to conduct R&D projects and consultancy services in the areas of Oceanography, Meteorology, Environmental Technology, Marine Technology and Petroleum Technology.
I also work as Oceanographer and Numerical Modeler at The Ocean Cleanup Foundation and I am CEO and founder of a private company, Atlantech Soluções Ambientais, which sells services and consultancy in Oceanography and Environmental Sciences.
My main goal is to work for the sustainable exploitation of the ocean resources and to rid the oceans of plastic and other pollution. I believe men can live in this planet and use its resources in a sustainable manner, which must be good not only for the human kind but for all species as well.
