Jay Dietrich is an IBM Distinguished Engineer on the Corporate Environmental Affairs Staff, with global responsibilities for Climate Stewardship and Energy Management.  

His career with IBM spans 35 years with assignments in facility and environmental engineering and management, regulatory affairs, software project management and the corporate environmental staff.  In his current assignment, he develops corporate policies, strategies, and goals and objectives and represents the IBM company externally on the subjects of product energy efficiency attributes and regulations, management and reduction of operational energy use and GHG emissions in data center, development and office environments, energy and climate change programs, and the procurement of renewable electricity.
