Summary
Dr. Jiri Holas is a civil engineer graduated from the University of Agriculture in Prague (1973). In 1984 he was granted with Ph.D. degree at modelling of productivity processes in agriculture and forestry. In 1991 passed two professional stays concerning problems of sustainable economic growth and environmental protection held in Holland and in Singapore. Since the year 1993 is working as a Head of Company Executive of Agricultural Research Council /ARC/. His main professional activity concerns R&D programmes within Association of Biodiesel Producers and the recent works of Dr. Holas have been focused on rapeseed oil manufacture of esters for biofuels and oleochemicals use. He is a co-author of 4 edited papers in international refereed journals and coordinator of a pilot project concerning water pollution abatement within the International Water Association.
