Joe Tah

About

Joe Tah joined the School of the Built Environment at Oxford Brookes University as Professor of Project Management in May 2007. He was Professor of Construction Information Technology and Associate Head of School of the Built Environment at Salford University. He was also Professor of Construction Management at London South Bank University. He has extensive research experience in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and distributed computing techniques to the development of decision support systems for managing construction projects. He has undertaken many funded research projects and successfully supervised many PhD students and research associates. He has undertaken several knowledge transfer initiatives and consultancy work involving the re-engineering of organizational business processes and the development and implementation of innovations in ICT in various construction companies. He has co-authored a textbook on 'strategic management applied to international construction' and published over 150 refereed articles. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of the Chartered Surveyors, a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), and a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
