About
Experienced Irrigation and Water Resource Engineer as well as Expert on Climate Change Adaptations in
both Irrigated and Rain Fed Farming Systems.
Over 13 years’ experience in the evaluation of water projects, monitoring and evaluation of
irrigation and drainage projects, covering varied areas such as project planning and identification,
feasibility studies and detailed designs , preparation of contract documents as supervision works.
Five year of active participation in research works related to climate change impacts and adaptation
projects, poverty reduction, natural resource management, food security, rural livelihood and water
resources and sustainable agriculture.
- Develop training material for session one of the training on; general definitions of policy, purpose of policy and the policy development process.
- Develop dialogue material i.e. presentation key existing frameworks (international and national) e.g. National Climate Change Act, The Ending Drought Emergencies Frameworks, frameworks on DRR etc. Review and incorporate findings from previous AHADI’s reports from CCA/DRR interventions.
- Facilitate the policy dialogues i.e. facilitate group work, interact with participants to ensure that they make contributions, guide conversations to ensure the objectives of the dialogues are being met etc.
- A policy dialogue report indicating policy and capacity development themes and issues for improving the institutionalization of CCA and DRR that will inform policy drafting in subsequent stages.
- Training smallholder farmers on impacts of climate change and variability on agricultural practices, livelihoods , food security andcrops under rain-fed conditions in the semi-arid

- Determine smallholder farmers' adaptation and coping strategies to impacts of climate change and variability in the semi- arid and sub-humid regions.
Assess the gender and socio-economic variations in adaptation and coping strategies to climate change and variability by smallholder farmers in the semi- arid and sub-humid
Experience in Lecturing at University in Brazil and Kenya.
Ability to prepare analytical publications and reports.
Ability to work in a complex environment requiring liaison and collaboration with multiple actors.
Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team and in a multi-cultural environment.
Computer literate with experience on: Word Processing (MS Word); Data analysis and management
(MS Excel & Access); Communication (E-mail, Internet & Network Applications and PowerPoint),
GIS Application, AutoCAD.
