Joy Eldredge, Water General Manager, City of Napa, California

Summary

I served for 3 years in the Peace Corps in rural Kenya building water storage tanks for roof catchment of rain water.  This source water was cleaner and safer than the flowing surface waters and avoided the travel time to transport the water.

I traveled through India for just 4 weeks and was moved by the culture in Varanassi, particularly as it relates to the Ganges River.  This was 20 years ago in the late 90s and today, as a practicing water professional I am interested in understanding the challenges of today and providing assistance where possible.
