About

I am a civil engineer with more than 22 years of experience in different rural and urban infrastructure development projects and around 12 years of experience in water supply, sanitation and hygiene management sector including 6 years’ hands on experience in Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements in infrastructure development and service delivery. Currently, I am working as Programme Coordinator at Municipal Finance and Capacity Development Programme (MFCB) supported by EU and implementing through Town Development Fund (TDF).
I worked with National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Fund Development Board (RWSSFDB), SNV Netherlands Development Organization, UNDP executed and Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) implemented Public Private Partnerships for Urban Environment (PPPUE/MoFALD/UNDP). In addition, I worked with Rural Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Sector Development Programme (RRRSDP), Decentralized Local Governance Support Programme (DLGSP), Rural Energy Development Programme (REDP), Office of the District Development Committee, Gulmi in different capacities and private consultancies. Health care waste management project through Central Treatment Facility (CTF) under PPP arrangement has been operating in Pokhara Metro City from private sector “Waste Service Pvt. Ltd. (www.wasteservice.com.np)” which is the only one CTF project in Nepal where I am providing all technical support as Senior Technical Advisor. Further, I have successfully piloted the treatment of septage at household level using hydrated lime in Kavre district with the elimination of faecal coliform, helminthes ova/eggs, salmonella and live protozoa (paramecium). This may be the option-less immediate solution in the rural and peri-urban context where large treatment system is not possible due to different reasons. This is totally house hold level treatment system.
I hold a M.Sc. in Construction Management.
