About

I'm responsible for British Water's international programme, and have in-depth knowledge of water and waste-water related issues as a result of myinternational background in the aquatics and environment industry. My education is complemented by an MSc in environmental engineering, a passion for sustainability, and past experience in the private and government sector.

Multi-level environmental professional with an affinity for urban sustainable development and ecological conservation. International experience in project and communications management supplements my environmental engineering education, to provide employers with proven technical, organizational and goal-oriented expertise. Studying at five different universities globally allowed me to learn to adapt to new environments and take up dynamic and additional work tasks, methods, and projects with ease. I speak 4 languages and currently learning Arabic.

Quality assurance and control abilities.

After several years of travelling around Asia, Europe and North America, I completed a BSc in Environmental and Conservation Sciences with a major in Land Reclamation from the University of Alberta, and a BASc in Industrial Ecology with a major in Biogeochemical/Aquatic Biology from Mount Royal University.

With experience in both theoretical and practical settings, I have worked on many projects- from green roofs to land reclamation in the oil sands and a lot in between (including laboratory research, field assessment of plant communities, soil surveys and profile tests, water sample chemical analyses).

I have also travelled extensively around Holland mapping the geo-topography and soil profiles. In my final year I led a team of 7 university students to produce a 350-page professional land reclamation proposal and undergrad thesis.
