Ken Kinney is the Executive Director of the Development Institute; a position he has held for the last 11 years. Before then, he has worked for the Institute of Cultural Affairs-Ghana; a sustainable development NGO as Director of Programmes. Ken has a working experience at CARE-Ghana and JICA Ghana Office. He has a working relation with the Ghana Water Resources Commission, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Environmemtal Protection Agency including other NGOs in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Europe and the United States. He is also in charge of External relations, Climate Change adaptation and water, Policy advocacy and regional integration issues and a working relationship with West African NGOs and institutions in the water sector such the Volta Basin Authority, Global Water Partnership, Delta Alliance. Ken has extensive experience in climate change issues, IWRM, policy analysis and decentralization, bottom-up development processes, natural resource governance and conflict transformation. Ken is also a system building specialist and advoates for sustainable development.
