I am a financial professional with nine years experience in both Financial Markets and Investment banking fields. I have devoted most of my professional career to Development Finance for the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the French Investment Bank that finances sustainable development projects in more than 70 countries. I joined the group in 2007 at the Treasury Department in Paris where I was in charge for financial market deals (hedging transactions and EMTN programme execution the Debt Capital Markets). I notably participated to the structuration of the first bonds on local bond markets issued by the Group to stimulate capital market developments. In September 2011, I joined the AFD Johannesburg regional office and was in charge of sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities with the banking and municipal sector. I also worked on how to foster relationships with in-country private investors and International DFIs (Development Finance Institutions), contributing to working groups on innovative financing mechanisms.
I am a senior investment professional with expertise, an active network and with a strong interest in being an agent of economic development for Africa. Since 2016, I am the founder and owner of Maryllconsulting (Pty) ltd, an Investment & Advisory services company focused on Capital Projects Development.
