About

Understanding what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, in 2007 I applied for the LLm program with the University of Dundee and UNESCO-IHE. In 2008 I made the decision to leave a life of comfort, my life of certainty for one that would change my life forever and be part of the first class of the Water Governance and Conflict Resolution program.

The years that followed I would have many jobs but my passion for water would not go away.
The lessons learned in and out of the classroom, would help me push my research on water and present my findings at various conferences such as the International Conference on Sustainable Development, World Water Congress and American Planning Association National Planning Conferences as well as and guest lecture at NYU and University of Connecticut. In 2016 my passion was rewarded by winning "Best Poster" at the 2016 American Planning Association for my work on Transboundary Groundwater Management: A case study on the Guarani Aquifer System.

The exposure at the 2016 APA led to an invitation to join the Water and Planning Delegation for the American Planning Association, be a reader for the US Water Alliance One Water Policy proposal to the US House of Representatives and Stockholm International Water Institute's Women and Corruption in the Water Sector report.

My professional goal is to work in public service and improve both my local and global communities. I possess an academic and professional skill set that positions me to be an effective public servant, high-quality researcher, and leader in my field. My personal achievements to date and the scope of my future goals are what will make me a future leader in environmental planning and infrastructure.
