1989-2016      Director of several projects with industries, Rio Tinto Minera S.A. and EGMASA for treatment of mine acidic waters, DENTAID S.A. for the development of new dental materials, DCA, S.L. for the development of dental NMTD products, THERMO ELECTRON Co. for the development of new nebulizers for ICP-OES (Inductive Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectroscopy) and new collision cells for ICP-MS (Inductive Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectroscopy), FORET S.A. for the development of new waste water treatment based on the heterogeneous catalysis of Fenton reaction. A new membrane purification system has been developed for hydrogen peroxide purification modifying the current production process of FORET S.A. AFFINITY S.A. for the study of cats food influence on urolithiasis developing in cats. COLGATE-PALMOLIVE Co to develop a new remineralizing tooth paste.

 

1984-2016      Spanish Commission for Research and Development. Project Coordinator of some 23 research projects in the area of Analytical Chemistry and Materials Development and Characterization.

 

2002-present   Executive Director of the Centre GTS (at University Autonoma of Barcelona) of ACC1O Agency (local Government) for technology transfer and industrial development.

 

 

Academic Experience

Leading an active research group, currently 22 researchers in the field of Separation Sciences and Chemical Speciation with related applications in the fields of Environmental Analysis, Characterization of Biomaterials and Agro-food (functional foods and food traceability).
