About

Senior Engineer with over 27 years of consulting experience in various areas of hydrogeology, geophysics and management of water resources work teams working in conjunction with geotechnical teams in several countries in the Americas, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Services provided to the public (federal, provincial and municipal), private and industry sectors for groundwater supply and environmental characterization. International involvement in water resources study projects for The Inter-American Development Bank (IABD), the World Bank Group (WBG), the European Union in Haiti, Jordan, Mauritius, Madagascar as head of mission or expert in hydrogeology and geophysics. Mr. Etienne has been part of the team of senior hydrogeologists at WSP since 2019 providing services in the private, industrial, mining and government sectors.

I have provided services to the government sector, both municipal and provincial, completing more than 30 municipal groundwater supply projects in Quebec, Canada. I have participated as Head of Mission, technical director and groundwater expert for two water resources projects in Haiti, for IABD and USAID funds respectively.  

Furthermore, since 1998, accumulated experience particularly in the field of water resources related to the mining industry, for both engineering and environmental assessments (EIA) in Canada, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Chile and French Guiana. Experience also combines training and experience in geophysics and achievement in numerous geophysical surface, logging and drone surveys for hydrogeological, environmental and geotechnical studies in Canada and internationally including data acquisition, analysis and interpretation. Before starting my engineering career, I worked for five years in the Belgian Army Forces based in Germany (Special Forces Units).
