About
Graduated in 1990 from the University of Zimbabwe, with BSc., Applied Chemistry & Chemical Technology; then I crossed over to the world of finance, starting with the securities industry on Wall Street, with a company callled Ladenburg Thalmann, where I obtained my licenses to deal in equities. I then did more in the financial services and am now more of a financial services person than the Chemical technology.
Now operating in different sectors mainly arranging finance for projects and businesses in Africa, and also representing Europe, USA and Chinese companies in southern Africa. I have worked on PPP for municipal water supply, structuring the funding, but since that project, I realised that it is going to take a long time for Africa municipalities to be able to keep up with repairs & maintenance of their piping and storage assets.
While trying to find a way to get an idea to alleviate the situation, I remembered that one of our large mining concerns, had invested in "water-from-atmosphere" machines in the mid-1990s. I then called to see if these machines were still function and to my good surprise, the machines are still in use at this company, but because they are the early technology, and now I am looking to start with mines, schools, hospitals, and even housing developments within the cities, to supply with what must be an improved technology for the "water-from-the-atmosphere".
So, it is not my background in water, but my background in business and placing finance for such project.
