Engineering Manager for the Kindasa 26,500 m3/day SWRO plant  in Jeddah Port.

Lead Process Engineer on various offshore Sulphate Removal Plants (using nanofiltration membranes)

Responsible for all aspects of process including:

- Performing support process calculations and preparing specifications for equipment such as pumps, compressors, control valves and relief valves.

-Supervision of the development of Process drawings (PFDs and P&IDs)

Main objectives included:

-The provision of technical assistance to enhance the efficiency and availability of operating plants.  

-Performing performance trends analysis and, review historical data to forecast /avoid possible future operational issues.

Provision of technical guidance to the process group for projects/tenders.

Taking a leading role in the identification/specification of the process required to meet the contractual specification.

Maintain know-how in emerging technologies through R&D activities.

Dealing with an existing seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) plant in the UK which had operational problems and needed rehabilitation. The investigation identified several design issues and remedial measures were proposed.

 Acting as an Owner Engineer reviewing the EPC contractor process design related documentation/calculations for the 450,000 m3/day Shuqaiq III SWRO located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  

Investigation and data analysis related to an under-performing proprietary Ballast Water Treatment System.
