About
My background and expertise is in forestry research. I am working in the Northern Research Institute of Forestry (fomer “Arkhangelsk Forest and Forest Chemistry Institute), Federal Forest Service since 1982 (34 years). I started my career as engineer, then researcher, Head of the Laboratory and I am workin as Deputy Director on Sciences since 2000 till present time. I provide administration work and responsible on research planning, reporting, organizing meetings, seminars etc. At the same time I am working as a leading scientist. I responsible for projects application, projects implementation and projects reporting. According to my professional experience I have strong leadership ability, supervisory skills and a strong sense of responsibility. I have ability to develop and maintain professional contacts with government officials and international organizations.
As one of the leading experts in the Federal Forestry Agency, I was nominated as a representative from the Russian Federation in various international organizations:
- the Russian National Focal Point on Forest Genetic Resources, FAO UN since 2010 till present time;
- the Member of the Working Group of the Barents Forest Sector Network (BFSN), which is a subgroup of the Working Group on Economic Co-operation Barents Euro-Arctic cooperation (2011-present);
- the National Focal Point at the Boreal Forest Working Group since 2012 till present.
- the Member for the Teams of Specialists for the UNECE/FAO Forestry and Timber Section from the Russian Federation: the Team on sustainable forest products since 2014.
