About

With 29 years of a rich experience in urban development including water supply, town planning, and buildings, Dr. Pankaj Sampat is a highly motivated alumnus of CEPT University, India. Basically a civil engineer (1986), an infrastructure planner (2009), and PhD (2016) with quantification by the method of water accounting as the original contribution of his doctoral research.

Currently working as Associate Professor ASCI, before that Vice President-Planning, GIFTCL-India, developing GIFT city, India’s first International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) a smart-city green-field project. He was first Town Planning Officer. 

Now pioneering the idea of IWAP to audiences across the globe–most recently in the Asian International Conference on 'Water Security and Climate Change: Challenges and Opportunities in Asia', at Bangkok in November 2016, funded by DAAD, Germany. It was presented to Advisor to Chief Minister, GoG,  conference on ‘Water Audit for Today and Tomorrow’ in Mumbai, Universities in Australia-UNSW, Melbourne, Macquarie Research centre. The concept and suggestions were agreed and accepted in principle. A proposal is submitted to FICCI.

He is going for oral presentation to World Water Congress XVI, Cancun, Mexico and ACE17, Philadelphia, USA.
