About

Patrick McGarry has over 30 years experience in environmental assessment and natural resources management from project management and delivery to field studies and report writing.  He has extensive experience in environmental assessment beginning with a Master’s degree on the topic and recently managing several major transmission projects in Manitoba. He has a multidisciplinary background in many natural resource and socio economic disciplines and a certified Environmental Professional. His extensive experience includes fish and aquatic science, water quality, hydrology, regulatory approvals, and environmental protection and management. He has led many public and Aboriginal engagement processes. Pat has also taught EA and socio-economic courses internationally. He recently started his own consulting firm providing environmental assessment and writing services to a wide range of clients.

P. McGarry Environmental Consultants (PMEC) is a recently established Manitoba environmental consultancy based on the many-years experience of company principal Pat.McGarry. PMEC offers a range of services in the environmental assessment and resource management fields including conducting assessments for environmental regulatory approvals, conducting public and Aboriginal engagements to support assessments, developing EA frameworks and methodologies, project scoping, and biophysical and socio-economic field studies. Technical writing and developing public information materials is another key service PMEC provides.
