Peter has an extensive and somewhat unique understanding of the microbiology and biochemistry of waste water treatment systems. Coupled with his chemical engineering process skills and his extensive construction, commissioning and operations experience, he continues to develop and improve wastewater treatment technology, particularly biological phosphorus and nitrogen remova,l to provide reliable and sustainable treatment facilities that are simple to operate and maintain.
Peter has presented and published refereed papers internationally on modifications to design models, management of problem bulking and foaming organisms in activated sludge and the impact of competitive organisms on biological phosphors removal . Peter has been an invited lecturer at several university courses and regularly presents Certificate IV training courses for operations staff.
