I am currently an Independent consultant advising governments on the development of urban infrastructure, transportation and smart city projects. My educational qualifications include Bachelors in Science, Masters in Business Administration (Finance) and Chartered Financial Analyst (India). 

I have hands on experience of close to 18 years in infrastructure advisory across sectors such as urban infrastructure, transportation and power and have built consulting verticals from scratch into sustainable businesses several times in my career so far.

 
Through recruiting and mentoring competent talent and effective strategizing and leadership, enabled successful development of business in varied areas including Smart Cities, Urban infrastructure, real estate development/land monetization, urban transport, water supply, solid waste management, affordable housing, sports/recreational infrastructure, commercial /institutional infrastructure, transport, logistics, industrial projects and power.

I have in all 19 years of infrastructure consulting, investment banking and corporate strategy related experience across sectors such as urban transport, urban infrastructure, roads, power, recreation, industries, industrial parks, real estate, education, roads, ports, etc.

I have been involved in consulting to government agencies at various levels including the state and local levels as well as to private sector clients in the development of infrastructure and industrial projects with an emphasis on PPP projects. I have also led capacity building initiatives and workshops at the level of ULBs as well as State and Central Govt agencies.

I have worked closely with international financing institutions such as DFID and KfW in various engagements. I have been responsible as a PPP expert in the DFID supported Madhya Pradesh Urban Infrastructure Investment Programme (MPUIIP) and also in PPP projects in the Indian state of Odisha covering ULBs in Ganjam and Sambalpur district.

These engagements involved end to end support for project development beginning from identification and prioritization of projects, project conceptualization, feasibility and procurement support. I have also advised various government agencies on the development of appropriate policy, institutional and regulatory framework for facilitating successful PPPs in urban infrastructure.

My in-depth experience in advising Multilateral agencies, Govt/Public sector clients, Private sector clients and lenders on development of urban infrastructure projects through PPP enables me to bring tremendous value to consulting assignments in the infrastructure space.

As a result of my involvement in infrastructure projects across sectors in the initial stages of opening up of the Indian economy and hands on experience in working with multilats, govt and private sector clients across states and sectors over close to two decades, I have hands on experience in end to end support for PPP projects, policy and regulatory framework preparation, capacity building, training and urban financing which will be effectively leverage for the client.  

Most importantly, I am well versed with the various mid-course modifications required at various stages of the project development process to facilitate PPP projects since I have been responsible for numerous such initiatives over the years.  

Having also worked in the project finance space, I am well versed with the concerns that lenders and investors have while financing/investing in infrastructure and industrial projects and am hence able to bring in their perspective as well while structuring projects.
 
I am presently keen on taking up challenging consulting opportunities in the capacity of a freelance consultant where I believe that I can add value effectively by leveraging the depth and breadth of my experience. I am also open to exploring suitable full-time opportunities.
