Born on Feb 05,1966 in farmer family of Village Kiarban, Tehsil Palampur, Distt Kangra, Himachal, India. Done Ph.D. in Soil and water conservation from Chaudhary Sarvan Kumar Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur, India. Worked on watershed development, water resource augmentation, soil resource survey of watersheds, water harvesting, seepage control, efficient recycling, efficient methods of irrigation. Presently also working on conservation agriculture climate change and carbon sequestration. Has many international and national research papers, books ,bulletins, popular articles, media talks and awards to his credit.Industry experience
