Richard Gallant EI S.M. ASCE, Utility Engineer at Village of Wellington, Florida

Summary

I am a Utility Engineer for the Village of Wellington, Palm Beach County, Florida. I manage projects and oversee the developer projects throughout the Village. Prior to this, I worked for Palm Beach County Water managing the maintenance and installation of components at a 30 Million Gallon per Day water treatment plant and 3 remote sites. My staff and I ensure that the customers on our system have the best water, best customer service and the best environmental stewardship. I also serve as the local project liaison at our facility overseeing all of the projects that occur at this site which range from a few thousand dollars to over 12 million dollars. At Florida Atlantic University I have obtained my bachelors degree in civil engineering (Cum Laude) and have also been awarded my Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and Water Resources Engineering  as part of the Bachelors to Masters program. The focus of me Graduate studies was on water treatment and the affects of nitrification in a distribution system. My future plans are to pursue a position as Department Director or County Administrator.
