About
My family moved to Fort Lauderdale 1969 where I graduated from Stranahan High School in 1975. I joined the City of Fort Lauderdale in November 1993 as a water plant operator trainee. I was quickly promoted to an Operator II and worked 12 years at the Historic Peele Dixie Water Plant reaching the position of Chief Operator. In February 2006, I accepted the position of Regional Water Facilities Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of the City’s two water treatment plants with a combined capacity of 72 million gallons per day. On March 30th, 2014, I accepted my current position as Utilities Distribution and Collection Systems Manager overseeing the water distribution and wastewater collection systems and a staff of 168. I am an active member of the Florida Water and Pollution Control Operators Association (FWPCOA) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA).
