Sandy Rodger
About
Sandy is a business leader, whose key strength is strategic leadership of systemic change, to deliver business results. His track record comprises senior roles in Unilever, Diageo and in the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the think-tank focused on accelerating the transition to the circular economy.
Sandy combines knowledge of manufacturing industry and the Circular Economy. His industrial career spanned 27 years and led to senior roles in manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D, with Unilever PLC and Diageo PLC. He then focused on the Circular Economy, and led project MainStream, with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, in collaboration with McKinsey and the World Economic Forum. On the plastics project he set up the project consortium including major organisations from chemicals, packaging, consumer goods, and waste & recycling sectors together with city authorities.
Sandy is now the Circular Economy Project Lead for the Toilet Board Coalition, where he has been working with multinationals, and with SMEs in Africa, to develop the Circular Economy for Sanitation. He is also the founder of Expert Circular, which brings a new voice – the voice of experienced practitioners – into play, supporting organisations with the business case and collaboration required for the Circular Economy.
Sandy is a Chartered Engineer, with Masters degrees in Business Administration and in Environmental Systems Engineering.
