About

I’m a PhD in Biology and Ecology, with specialization at Plant Taxonomy. I’ve developed the scientific project at Botanical Garden of Madrid (Spain) and at Botanical Garden of Lisbon (Portugal). The research included field work in several countries and the project involved working with statistic programs to analyse all data (biometrics and molecular), scientific interpretation and discussion of results. During this period, I’ve contact with researchers of several countries and participated in conferences and congresses. The PhD allowed me to develop solid scientific knowledge but also communication skills and work methods that I always bring to new projects.

You will note from my CV that I have extensive experience in ecological studies (field work, data analysis, GIS mapping and reports) and ecological risk assessments with knowledge of EU and African legislation. Complementary experience, I have conducted training courses aimed at upgrading and diversification of knowledge. During my professional career, I have worked within the plant biology specialist area in several different sectors such as; research, ecological studies, environmental education and as a field guide in two Portuguese national parks.

In the last years, I have been developing a new area of research and application of biodiversity and ecosystem services in different business areas (agriculture, wine production, community designer and fashion industry). The main objectives are to create, transform and expand Natural Capital in business as a generator of prosperity and wealth. In a changing world, resilience is essential for success as well as the adaptation of management paradigms that affect the entire chain value. Successfully, I'vemanaged toimplementenvironmental management systems(ISO14001:2015)to different sectors.

Also to be a environmental freelance translator, a professionalchallenge thatrecentlyI accepted, as allowed me to make environmental communicationand information more reliable,conciseand clear.
