As Contracts Director, my key responsibilities were to manage the efficient and profitable operation of the contracts department, with full accountability for the delivery of contract targets, on projects. I developed and managed a robust strategy for contracts to optimise service to customers, as well as ensuring all legal and commercial matters were appropriately considered and represented and aligned with the aims of the company.
With strong financial management abilities, I considered how the contracts strategy impacted on the effective control of operating costs, Profit & Loss and cash flow. I had full responsibility for all procurement, negotiating with suppliers and contractors, to obtain the best possible pricing structure, without compromising on high quality, technical specifications.
A natural leader, who encourages open communication and respect, I developed and managed teams with a strong focus on customer care, service quality and technical expertise. With strong interpersonal skills, I have developed and sustained long term business relationships and gained a great deal of trust and respect.
