About
I am a researcher doing agriculture based research in the past 30 years. Water is the main subject in which surface and groundwater aspects are dealt with. In the surface water - river based canal irrigation and tank irrigation studies are undertaken.
Based on my research studies, I have made two research hypotheses that have to be tested widely. Hypothesis 1: The groundwater recharge is a function of the intensity of rainfall coupled with the availability of surface water sources (canals or tanks) in a region. Hypothesis 2: The total quantum of rainfall available on the earth (land area and sea surface) is always equal to that of the total quantum of rainfall occurs every year, but it has its skewed distribution of quantum among regions.
Once the availability water and its conservation related problems are solved in India then there is every possibility to sustain our agriculture in a more profitable manner.
