Urban planner, landscape designer, sustainability consultant and project manager. Studied architecture, urban and landscape planning at the University Kassel. 1985 founded the company BAER + Urban Environmental Research in Frankfurt am Main. He teaches since the mid-1980s at several universities and academies in Germany and held a number of lectures worldwide. Stephan Becsei is engaged in sustainable design and functional concepts for urban development, energy efficiency, storm water management and infrastructural climate protection solutions for more than 30 years. Actually he is his working on solutions reducing CO² emissions and the removal of particulate pollution by vegetation via new interactive systems .and green envelopes for energy efficient retrofitting of the existing housing stock. BAER offers sustainability consulting services including auditing and certification according to the major systems Public projects have been realized for official and federal authorities and the Cities of Frankfurt and Berlin. Projects were published in European and Chinese magazines. In the context of urban planning competitions and exceptional environmental and climate protection projects can boast a considerable number of awards and competitive gains. He is also a certified expert federation (DESAG) for garden and landscaping, agriculture and forestry.
