Applied Geologist from IIT, Kharagpur having vast experience in Geohydrology, worked extensively in GIS based and WEAP basin level hydrology modelling. He is having in-depth knowledge and vast action based research experience in various Governments, Multilateral Funding Institutions, Non-Govt Organisation, and Corporate Development projects. 

Present position Executive Director of PAN Network Pvt. Ltd. a research based consulting firm working in the areas of Natural Resource Management, Geo-sciences and Planning & Development. He was  a senior member of Integrated Water Resource Management, state level capacity building program under MGNREGA, Commissioner, Govt. of Jharkhand.  Associated with various research projects of different Academic Institutions like London School of Economics, University of California, Riverside, The University of Kolkata, Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur, and the Visva-Bharati University.

Worked in a number of World Bank Projects, namely Small area estimation study on Poverty for West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa and Andhra, a  project of Planning Commission. World bank project on Bhutan and Afganistan. Worked in World Food Programme of United Nations’ Small Area Estimation of poverty in Uttarakhand, India program also.

Worked as a senior member of the Senior Member of DFID RAY Project Management Unit, West Bengal Jointly run by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Private Limited, Administrative Stuff College of India Hyderabad and PAN Network Pvt. Ltd. Provided advisory aupport to Gandheswari River Rejuvenation Project , Govt. of West Bengal. 

Having a number of publications on IWRM  in different national and international journals, magazines and newspapers, contributor of different books, Contributor to State of Environment Report, West Bengal 2016 by West Bengal Pullution Control Board and National Biodiversity Strategy & Action Plan (NBSAP), West Bengal. By Department of Environment also coauthor a book on GIS & Remote sensing. Important articles are; Need for Integrated River Basin Management in the context of West Bengal Floodplains – Journal of Management & Public Policy, Vol.2, No.1, Dec’10 and Damodar Valley Corporation: The Missed Opportunity, Journal of Infrastructure Development, Volume-3 2011, Sage Publications.
