About

As an alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur, International Rice Research Institute, Philippines and XLRI Jamshedpur, I am longest serving professional in India in the field water management and enhanced water use efficiency through micro irrigation for over 48 years. I was member of committee that made a presentation to Prime Minister’s Office on benefits of micro irrigation in 2003 which resulted in formation of large Micro Irrigation Projects like APMIP in the country. 

I am/ have been member of various committees in BIS, NCPAH, PMKSY associated with micro irrigation. I have delivered over 100 lectures, made presentations at various forums and published a number of technical papers on water management, food processing and sustainability in agriculture sector, agri-value chain, hydraulic rams and solar energy. Have worked as a consultant to Government of Ethiopia at Addis Ababa in 2010 and now associated with water and energy related projects in SE Asia, Middle East and Africa.  I have travelled extensively in Africa, SE Asia, Europe, Israel and Middle East on business related assignments. 

For the past 10 years I am working very closely with various ministries and senior ministry officials as well as ministers on policy advocacy to further the interest of all stakeholders in government related programs in India. I am also connected with various Embassies, High Commissions at New Delhi and national and international organizations like FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM and PHD Chamber of Commerce, IFC, ADB and World Bank as well as Strategic Organizations like RIS, VIF and ORG and have delivered lectures at seminars.   

I am keeping in touch with disruption in technology, quantum commuting, block chain and AI by following various blogs. I am passionate about reading, writing, traveling and deliver lectures to students on water and energy conservation.
