About

I have over 24 years of experience in water and environment issues with a focus on water and wastewater projects that includes ;water quality models, pollution indices, risk mapping, risk assessment, writing national environmental state and environmental indicators reports, preparing wastewater treatment plants for TSM certificate, Water governance, IWRM, Integrating the Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA) with IWRM, preparing water quality surveillance programs (includes the choice of the elements to measure, the location of sampling sites, the periodicity of sampling, the collection of field samples and data, processing of the samples in the laboratory and the compilation and management of the data) and designing water quality policies and standards.

I have gained my working experience in  the water and environment sector, including extensive experience in planning, strategy development and consulting, as well as supervision and capacity development of employees specially in the water and waste water context,  disaster risk reduction, strategic planning and institutional development; science communication and knowledge management, policy development and advocacy. I participated in many water expert meetings with many international institutions such as WHO, GWP, UFM. Moreover I am proposal assessor for WFWP – Netherland and other national programs and the National Assessor for Blue Flag Programme in Jordan.

I gained the Global Women Change Makers Medal for the year 2021- Gold Medal in the water and Environment Sector. In addition; The project entitled Advocacy to Ensure Adaptive Capacity and Environmental Governance in Jordanian Communities that Host Syrian Refugees that I led  has been awarded a Ford Middle East & North Africa Grants/2017.

My core competencies include but not limited to;  results focus, teamwork, communication, building effective relationships, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.  Throughout  my career path I joined manywater expert group meetings with UFM, WHO and world bank regarding water and climate change aspects. I am fluent in Arabic and English languages.

In the last ten years I have worked as consultant and /or expert for different local and international companies and organization. International Agencies whom I have worked with them include but not limited to : GIZ, GOPA, USAID, WFWP, DAI, UNDP, GEF, FHI 360 and Parsons Corporation. Also, I have regional working experience expanded through cooperation projects executed with partners from Egypt and Morocco
