About

I have over 23 years of Australian water and environmental management related experience ranging from estuaries and coastal waters to coastal and inland catchments. I have managed, developed and analysed a range of monitoring and sampling programs for sediments, water and biota. I have expertise in environmental risk, impact assessment, investigations, contamination, water quality, fish and trophics. I enjoy applying practical and strategic solutions to environmental problems and have developed and assessed many catchment and environmental management plans mainly around nutrient and sediment loss, land capability, restoration and building capacity in communities affected by environmental issues. I am competent in environmental management systems for both large and small-medium sized enterprises and auditing and assessing risk. My experience began before doing my PhD at Murdoch University, Western Australia when I began work as a Fishery technician working on Striped Bass and salmon in northern California and as a Senior Laboratory Technician for the California Department of Health.
