I have worked in the Potable Water Industry for over 19 years. I current hold a Tennessee Water Treatment 4 and Distribution 2 license
Collecting water samples, performing chemical and microbiological
analysis of all water samples, maintainimg daily operation records and
preparing monthly, semi-annual, and annual reports, handles
customer complaints, calibrates laboratory equipment and process
analyzers.
Monitoring and maintaining equipment to ensure safe water is
produced, preparing and cleaning all filters, make sure all chemicals
are feeding at their proper feed rate, performed maintenance and
lubricated pumps, motors, air compressors, generators, and filter
regulation equipment, maintained various records and chart
recorders, performed general custodial work through the plant,
including ground maintenance.
Supervised and directed and evaluated assigned staff, handled employee concerns and problems, assigned work, counseling, and
disciplinary action. Planned, scheduled, and directed the operations
and maintenance of the water pumping and treatment process,
storage tanks, and flood control structures. Confered with and
assisted planning engineers and the Mayor of any new process in
the water treatment facility. Prepared plans and directed the
implementation of directives from TDEC. Certified in performing
required chemical and bacteriological analysis of water. Maintained a
check list of all test required by the EPA, prepared work schedules,
processes payroll, and maintained all personnel records, prepared
and conducted monthly safety meetings for all employees, and prepared the yearly budget.
I also served on the Safety Committee and on the EOC Committee when they were introducing the 311 services.
