I am a Senior Ecologist at CSA Ocean Sciences Inc. (CSA) with over 26 years of U.S. and international experience in applied marine and freshwater ecology. I provide ecological assessment and permitting coordination services for activities as diverse as restoration and mitigation for coral reef, seagrass, and oyster reef habitats; fiber optic cable networks; and liquefied natural gas (LNG) deepwater ports domestically as well as in Middle East, North Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central/South America. I have to my credit the publication of four abstracts, four trade magazine articles, and 68 federal government reports as well as numerous professional presentations since 1988. He has also published four refereed scientific journal articles since 1991.
As a Project Manager for numerous fiber optic cable and submarine pipeline desktop studies (DTSs), Mr. Martin is extensively involved in the environmental permitting process; data are collected, analyzed, and documented to identify the most viable fiber optic cable route. Mr. Martin has extensive experience in all aspects of preparing and coordinating US ,National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Equator Principles, and World Bank Group and International Finacne Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability, and IFC World Bank Group Environmental, Health, and Safety General Guidelines for pollution prevention, control, and monitoring.
