I have 30+ years of experience as an applied earth scientist. In my current position as Hydrogeology Team Leader for the Environmental Restoration Department at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory Site 300 Project, I manage an interdisciplinary team of responsible for:
Characterizing and remediating soil and ground water contaminated with organic compounds, perchlorate, high explosives, tritium and depleted Uranium at a DOE CERCLA site.
Developing conceptual subsurface models using 3D visualization software.
Designing, installing, and optimizing ground water extraction and remediation systems.
Assessing the fate and transport of contaminants in soil and ground water including the natural attenuation of organic and inorganic constituents.
Designing and evaluating source area remediation technologies including soil vapor extraction, recirculation cells, biostimulation, and bioaugmentation.
Preparing technical and regulatory reports, negotiating with local, state and federal agencies, and giving presentations at professional conferences.
