Vincent Glaesener, Local Development Expert

About

Vincent Glaesener is an agricultural engineer (CUL, Belgium) and economist (MSc, Wye College, UK). He holds a 19 year’s operational experience in relation to the formulation, implementation and monitoring of multisectorial development interventions and strategies. He started his career with the European Commission, based in Burkina Faso. After working for the same EU in Brussels, he joined LuxDev to work first as Project Officer, then as Head of the External Affairs Department. He left LuxDev after 5 years and joined the FAO Investment Centre as an Economist / Investment Officer. There, he worked for 6 years as an (outposted) consultant to IFIs, mainly IFAD and the World Bank, operating mainly formulation and appraisals of projects and strategies. He joined back LuxDev in 2011 as Operations Manager before being appointed as “Local Development Expert” in late 2016.
