About
Walter Andreeff has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Geology from the University of Calgary (2001) and experience as an Indigenous Community Economic Development advisor. He has worked with Alberta and BC indigenous communities for the last 15 years and is a member of the Metis Nation of Alberta.Walter has been in business since 2011 and specializes in environmental review of major land and sea projects, oil and gas regulatory affairs, hydrology and hydrogeology science, GIS with remote sensing and indigenous economic development. He has worked in culturally-related projects such as implementing, managing and reporting on Traditional Land Use projects for indigenous peoples and providing training to youth, elders and community members on local water quality monitoring. Walter is a knowledgeable scientist, researcher and public presenter who communicates the impacts and mitigation of climate change to Indigenous and non-indigenous people. Walter has been a supporter of renewable energy over the last 10 years and involved with over 6 indigenous communities in the development of renewable energy projects.
