AECOM is seeking a qualified and motivated Project Engineer for our office in Columbia, SC to support the Water Business Line’s South Carolina Conveyance Market.

The candidate should have:

• Knowledge of various water practice areas including collection, distribution, storage and rehabilitation.

• Strong organizational skills and be willing to work on multiple assignments with varied project managers and teams.

• He/she must have the basic understanding of other disciplines and be able to integrate successfully with them.

• The candidate should have strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of computer-based models will also be beneficial.

• Excellent written and oral communication will be needed to coordinate with technical and non-technical staff.

Minimum Requirements

• BS Environmental or Civil Engineering or equal from an Accreditation Board of Engineering & Technology accredited university or college.

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater conveyance projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering License in South Carolina and adjoining states

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in water and wastewater conveyance projects is highly preferred.

• Project Management experience is a plus!

• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams

• Positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding and diverse professionals.

• Troubleshoots complex project related problems and provides engineering support.

• Builds and maintains technical and leadership skills through training opportunities, external training, and involvement in professional society functions.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• NASSCO PACP, MACP and LACP certified
