Unique opportunity to be part of a Major Project team developing and delivering Major Infrastructure schemes, including the development of billion pound+ reservoir projects!
Anglian Water are developing two new strategic reservoirs: the Lincolnshire Reservoir and Fens Reservoir. These multi-billion-pound projects are nationally significant infrastructure projects and are being developed this AMP, so that they are ready to start on site this decade and be in supply in AMP9. Along with this, the Major Infrastructure team will also be working to deliver exciting new Major Projects, including the Cambridge Waste Water Treatment Plant Relocation Project.
As part of our growth, we are looking for a Financial Systems Manager to join the team. The role will be responsible for the financial management and provision of reliable, accessible, and accurate financial information. You’ll support the Head of Commercial in the provision of consistent, effective, and efficient financial reporting.
We’re looking for someone to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the central Finance team. You’ll also support the Head of Commercial in the development of the financial aspects of the Commercial Strategy.
What will you be doing?
Maintain accurate project expenditure and associated plans within the Anglian Water corporate systems.
Ensure all forecasts are updated and profile management in accordance with Anglian Water procedures.
Work with the central Finance Team to ensure the departmental overheads are managed effectively and efficiently.
Develop and maintain client accounts with key suppliers, including our strategic land and property agents.
Lead on finding opportunities to streamline financial reporting methodologies to realise long term efficiencies.
Ensure that financial close of projects is administered in a timely manner, including closing out open liabilities.
Develop and manage financial key performance measures (lead and lag) to provide financial insight.
Ensure that all financial needs to are supported by an adequately resourced finance function across the department.

What does it take to be a Financial Systems Manager?
Educated to degree level or relevant financial/accountancy-based qualification.
Knowledge and experience of the financial audit procedure.
Knowledge and experience of financial reporting.
Proficient/expert in the use of SAP, in particular HR, PS and MM modules, and an awareness of P6 planning capabilities.
Knowledge and experience of providing cash-flow forecasts.
Proven ability in understanding and reporting on business objectives.
Can provide direction to other team members.
Ability to communicate with members of the Major Infrastructure Team at all levels.
Ability to mentor and develop team members.
