About the Position
This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in which you can work part-time at the company location and part-time remotely from your home.
Aquatic Informatics is looking for a new Marketing Events Specialist to join our growing marketing team! In this role you will:
- Support the success of events and go-to-market event strategy by handling logistics, suppliers, and coordinating personnel for in-person engagements.
- Be responsible for ‘Events Execution Excellence’ by coordinating end-to-end project management of events and conferences with detailed plans, schedules, requirements checklists, and vendor communication.
- Define processes, documentation, tracking, and templates to ensure scalable and repeatable success.
- Possess deep understanding of event deliverables and requirements to optimally project manage and own more than 30 events a year around the world.
- Be a brand ambassador to ensure presentations and other support materials are accurate and consistent with standards
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to review and prioritize events and the level of commitment required.
- Handle vendor invoices, budget updates, and final account reconciliation for all event requirements to ensure timely and accurate accounting.
- Put forward new insights for process improvements and tools that can optimize operations.
- Stay current with regional health and safety advisories as they pertain to in-person events in the regions we support.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in end-to-end event ownership
- Experience coordinating project logistics, deliverables, and timelines.
- Strong understanding of the interdependencies in a plan.
- Embody an operational mentality and seek constant process improvement
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as perfect grammar and command of the English language.
- Self-starter and comfortable working independently, balancing business priorities, and working with some level of ambiguity.
- Confident in learning how to use new marketing tools.

- Have a passion for the environment
- Are familiar with the SaaS industry and understand technical products.
- Have experience marketing to Government agencies.
- Constantly think creatively, coming up with creative ways to enhance and reignite channels and connections.
